So i debated for half an hour on whether this belonged in the photography or manip category. I put it in photography because all i did was adjust some levels and play with the eye color a littlebit, many thanks to ~vanity-insecurity's Beautiful eyes 101 tutorial. my eyes aren't that odd blue green color naturaly. they do change from blue to almost aqua sometimes, but not as drasticaly as all that. I'll be submitting it to some of my communities in the next few days.
quite honestly, i'm in love with this photo. I don't know why. and it's not my own vanity speaking, either. i was jsut playing around and i'll be damned if the photo wasn't awesome. (for me) I think it's the hat. I bought this brand-fucking new bowler hat at a resale shop for like 2 bucks. i have three of them in different colors. and no reason to ever wear them. so yeah. there. i was also looking for an excuse to pull out some razor blades. and maybe because of my own reasons behind this title (because i have a curious fascination with blades of any sort) and my razor blade fetish. (but thats not something i'm going into. one day we'll compare scars, and mine aren't on my wrists...)
none of this is to condone cutting. like i said, this isn't about that, more leaning to fetish. yeah. i'm done being redundant.
Nice use of contrast and texture...the darkness of the hat and hair against your white skin makes both your eye annd mouth stand out. The roughness of the hat and hair also highlight the smooth skin and shiny surface of the blades. Well done.
thank you thank you, my favorite stalker. like i said, i'm super in love with this shot, vanity not withstanding.

A brand new monthly article which showcases some of deviantART's finest equine artists, as well as recognizing the lesser-known but equally talented ones. Interviews, helpful tutorials and features can all be found here too! I hope you enjoy it.
The idea of this contest is to set you up completely blind with a mythical being - from any world culture - and turn you loose to come up with a deviation based around it!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
